Overview
NKT Resource Hub (nktweb.org) is operated by the New Kadampa Tradition — International Kadampa Buddhist Union (NKT-IKBU). This service provides internal resources to authorised NKT-IKBU centres and businesses.
Information We Collect
When you sign in with Google, we receive and store:
- Your name (as set on your Google Account)
- Your email address
- Your Google profile picture URL
This information is used solely to verify your identity and manage access to the resource hub. We do not access your Google Drive, Gmail, contacts, or any other Google services.
How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate your identity when signing in
- To verify you are an authorised member
- To display your name and profile picture in the members area
Data Storage
Your authentication data is stored in a temporary server-side session that expires when you close your browser or sign out. We do not store your Google password. We do not maintain a database of user activity or browsing behaviour.
Third-Party Services
This site uses Google OAuth 2.0 for authentication. Your sign-in is processed by Google according to their Privacy Policy. Resource files are hosted on Google Drive and served via Google's infrastructure.
Cookies
We use a single session cookie to maintain your login state. This cookie is marked as Secure, HttpOnly, and SameSite=Lax. No tracking cookies, analytics, or advertising cookies are used.
Your Rights
You may sign out at any time to end your session. To cancel your membership and have your email removed from the access list, visit Google Groups and remove yourself from the NKT Web group, or contact us to request removal.
